Tomlinson Hall to Champion the Pump Industry in National Awards

Pump distributor and manufacturer Tomlinson Hall & Co Ltd has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

The company is one of ten firms from across the UK competing for the title of Small Business of the Year in the Chamber Awards 2015, which recognises British business excellence and is hosted by the British Chambers of Commerce. The winner of the Small Business Award will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Brewery, London on November 26.

Billingham-based Tomlinson Hall is a distributor for major international pump brands such as DEPA, ELRO and Grundfos, and manufactures its own liquid ring vacuum pump, Liquivac.

It was named Best Small Business in the Teesside Business Awards 2015 and in April won the Small Business of the Year award in the North East Business Awards 2015, held in association with the North East Chamber of Commerce. The firm, which was founded in 1919, was recognised for its sales performance, staff development, close ties to the local community and export strategy for Liquivac.

Tomlinson Hall is also the current holder of the North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC) SME of the Year title.

In addition to its regional awards, Tomlinson Hall has won the Pump Distributor of the Year Award in the Pump Industry Awards four times, most recently in April 2014.

The company offers pump selection and supply, site visits, problem solving, servicing and repairs. It provides a range of engineering supplies and holds ISO 9001 accreditation.
