Instruments for oil-in-water analysis
Advanced technology for oil-in-water analysis will be demonstrated by leading instrumentation specialist Quantitech at the upcoming Oil in Water Monitoring Workshop in Aberdeen.
Quantitech’s Dr Andrew Hobson will be at the event with the InfraCal TOG/TPH (Total Oil and Grease/Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons) analyser, which offers on-site results within minutes, is lightweight and ideal for monitoring fuel, oil and grease in water discharge both before and after treatment.
The instrument is extremely compact, weighs less than 2.5kg, operates from a 12 volt DC power supply (which enables it to be run from a car battery) and has no moving parts to require adjustment or alignment. It is ideally suited for use in remote locations such as oil rigs or wastewater treatment plants.
Dr Hobson explained: “The Oil in Water Monitoring Workshop provides the perfect platform to demonstrate the many benefits of the Infracal TOG/TPH analyser.
“One of the main advantages of the InfraCal is that it provides users with on-site readings within minutes and removes the inconvenience of having to wait considerably longer for off-site lab results.”
The exhibition, taking place at the Thistle Aberdeen Airport Hotel on September 23, is designed for those who are concerned with analysis, monitoring and measurement of produced water in relation to discharging, reporting and re-injection.
