SAMPLE PREPARATION FOR DIOXINS AND PCB’S MADE SIMPLE WITH THE DIOXIN SYSTEM FROM SUPELCO
Supelco, a division of Sigma-Aldrich™ (Nasdaq: SIAL) has a simple sample preparation system for Dioxins and PCB’s to save you time and money.
For decades, Dioxins and PCBs have been analysed in various matrices. As they bio accumulate due to their lipophilic nature, they belong to the group of compounds known as Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). As a result, their emission into the environment and food chain is strictly controlled. The optimal clean up of these samples is challenging, but also mandatory to achieve reliable and reproducible results. The Supelco Dioxin Sample Preparation System provides a highly efficient means of an inline extraction and isolation of Dioxins, Furans, and PCBs from stack gases, wastewater, soil, food, blood, and milk.
The Supelco preparation system design offers users a significant decrease in sample preparation time up to 2 days relative to conventional methods and increases extraction recoveries greater than 85%. The other benefit of the Dioxin Preparation System is the reduction in solvent consumption, therefore reducing overall sample preparation cost.
