SN Engineering enhances valve range . . .
Gloucester based SN Engineering have agreed an exclusive distributor agreement for an innovative new valve. Best described “ as a combination of traditional butterfly design with the benefits of the rotary valve principle ”.
The introduction of the FS-M impeller valve was seen as the ideal addition to SNE’s growing market in the tradition butterfly valve & rotary valve sectors.
Ideally suited, although not exclusively, for controlling & accurate dosing of products prone to fluidising &/or flushing or where an air lock between downstream & upstream equipment is required. Compact & lightweight by design, these valves offer significant weight & space saving when compared to tradition rotary valves, the most common component utilised for retaining & dosing of powder or granulate products.
Fitted with precision St St insert & matching St St rotor vane enables this valve to be utilised in almost any industrial sector. Capable of operating at ≤3 Bar line pressure, with drillings in either PN6 ; PN10 or PN16 & sizes from 150Ø > 400Ø, larger upon request. Actuation is via compact SEW geared drive units operating the rotor vane @ 30 > 100rpm, dependant on valve size & throughput required. A hardened rotor vane option is available for those more aggressive & harsh applications. Standard units suitable for -20°C to +100°C with optional +250°C on request.
Suitable for installation in any position, from horizontal to vertical, another major advantage over traditional rotary valves. No compaction or levigation of product during charge / discharge. Aimed equally at the OEM & user markets, these valves are seen as “an ideal solution to practical problems currently being experienced across almost every industrial sector handling powders & granulates” and now offer a genuine alternative flow control device.
