SPECIAL SIEVMASTER SIEVE BEATS SPACE PROBLEM
When space is limited, sieving a priority, easy cleaning essential and then the equipment needs to be fitted to the underside of a restricted mezzanine floor area the design task appeared impossible. Farleygreene supplied the answer and the equipment to meet all criteria of this unusual situation.
Because of the restricted headroom and the existing loss in weight hopper system on the mezzanine floor it was necessary to locate the sieving system directly below the underside of the floor to allow the positioning of the bulk bins. Space was at a premium, but this configuration would not allow the operators sufficient space to access the sieve and its components for cleaning. Farleygreene supplied the Sievmaster 550 mounted within a special heavy duty hinged frame, allowing the operator to release the sieve from its position, swing it down for cleaning and then return it for production. To obtain the ease of movement the hinged sieving frame is supported via gas springs thus counter-balancing the weight of the assembly, it is therefore an easy job to move the whole system single handed. A full safety system is also included to give additional interlocking and movement prevention during cleaning and production.
Manufactured entirely from stainless steel 316 material this adaptation of the basic Sievmaster 550 sieving machine has provided the customer with a means to sieve directly to the container from the hopper within the area without costly building or process upheaval.
