Grundfos Pumps are delighted to advise that at the recent Pump Industry Awards, they were announced as the overall winner of the Technical Innovation of the Year with the Grundfos S Tube. This is an important win for a truly innovative product that beat off stiff competition from four other finalists.

The many unique benefits that the S Tube offers means this is a technology that offers a solution that combines high efficiency and greater solids handling resulting in significantly lower running costs in wastewater applications for the first time. This is because the new tube shape means no dead zones, as well as no cutting or moving parts that can get worn out, meaning:

·   world class hydraulic efficiency of 84% without compromising free passage
·     spherical passage up to 160mm offering better solids handling and much improved non-clogging capabilities
·     simple, yet robust design that results in longer life and lower maintenance costs.

This is a great result that clearly demonstrates the technical advances offered by the Grundfos S Tube have again been recognised as a real step forward.
