The Perfect Performance of Waste Water Shut Off Valves
Demand in Industries
Waste water shut off valves are ultimately the cost-effective and reliable solution that operators are searching for, as well as easy to maintain solutions in the water treatment industry. A key aspect of the pneumatic waste water shut off valve is its short installation time on site.
The maintenance of waste water shutoff valves is quick and simple with the replacement of the rubber membrane inside the valve. Maintenance costs are also very low for this process. You do not need special tools to change the replacement rubber membrane.
Within any production industry, the demands of the producer are forever increasing. The pressure from their users for improved service and delivery, is forcing companies to continuously upgrade and install more innovative equipment as soon as it becomes readily available.
Faster product flow, less downtime and labour saving devices are just some of the criteria that the consumer demands from their products. Pneumatic waste water shut off valves by AKO UK are the answer to all of the above!
Many valve users with experience using conventional ball valves, butterfly valves, globe valves and gate valves in the water industry are switching to waste water shut off valves with a rubber pinching hose and finding a better overall performance is achieved. Waste water shut off valves are available with the following accessories:
- Proportional valve – Waste water shut off valves can be controlled within any interim position instead of the normally open/close operation (for example 60% open). This is achieved by transforming an electrical signal proportionally into a pneumatic pressure.
- Safety arrangement – In the event of loss of air pressure / power failure, an already closed waste water shut off valve will remain in the closed position. In the case of loss of air pressure, the valve cannot be opened with the solenoid valve (electrically or mechanically). In the case of power failure, the waste water shut off valve can be closed and opened via auxiliary manual operation of the solenoid valve.
Mounted Solenoid Valve & Pressure Switch Accessories for Valves
Quick exhaust valve – Directly mounted onto the waste water shut off valve to enable quicker opening time.
Vacuum application unit – When a valve is working in a vacuum line of 0.1 bar, the vacuum process will cause a reduction of the rubber sleeve bore. This causes a lifetime reduction of the sleeve. The vacuum application system prevents this and will keep the sleeve of the valve fully open. The system can compensate a vacuum line operation of -0.8 bar.
Electro-pneumatic solenoid valves – Spool valve with different piston. Actuated by a permanent electrical signal.
Mechanical / Digital pressure switch – Monitors the pressure of the pneumatic system as well as the control pressure and displays the switching status of the waste water shut off valve. It can also be used to monitor any rupture in the sleeve, in case of failure, the control pressure will change.
- Pressure regulator – The filter regulator includes a pressure controlling unit and a pneumatic filter with a condensate separator. The pressure setting is changed with the hand wheel.
