Trolex’s range of Ultrasonic Level Sensors has now received ATEX approval for use in Group II hazardous areas.
The TX5862 and TX5861 Ultrasonic Level Sensors from Trolex have been designed as compact, easy to install, non-contact level measurement instruments for use with most liquids, emulsion, suspensions and bulk solids.
ATEX product certification involves a detailed process of examination, testing and assessment of equipment intended for use in potentially hazardous areas. The issue of the ATEX certificate and report confirms that the TX5862 and TX5861 are safe to use within potentially explosive atmospheres.
The TX5862 uses intelligent evaluation filters to block interfering acoustic signals to more accurately determine valid signals and reject false reflections. The dynamic temperature compensation ensures high accuracy and the measured level is directly displayed on the integral bright digital OLED display.
Trolex’s economical TX5861 Ultrasonic Level Sensor utilises the same high-integrity measurement system as the TX5862 and is intended for applications when a local digital display is not required. There is a choice of process mounting options and a quick-release waterproof connector for the sensor cable. Available with a current or voltage output, set-up is quick and simple by means of two pushbuttons and status-indicating LEDs.
