Vacuum sieving & conveying = No dust & low OELs
Wherever loose powders are handled, generated dust is nearly always a problem encountered by manufacturers. It is unpleasant within the working environment, and more importantly hazardous to health in most instances. When the product requires sieving the situation will be compounded, as the vibration from the sieving machine can easily create airborne particulate.Â
To overcome this problem, and provide a means of transferring product from one area to another in a single operation, Farleygreene have developed the Sievmaster Vacu-siev.
The system can incorporate a sack dispensing station, sieving machine and discharge hopper all being connected together, under vacuum, to retain the product within. Various configurations are available within the range each being engineered to suit the clients exact need. Options include dispensing directly from a sack, sack tipping with or without bag compaction, big bag dispensing, or sucking from drum with the use of a vacuum lance. All can be incorporated to create a dust free atmosphere.
Farleygreene have recently supplied a number of their Sievmaster Slimline 550 Vacu-Siev units into the process industry within the UK, Europe and Middle East, each system being finished to an extremely high specification. Each client was handling products detrimental to the health of their operators within a clean area. The system provided a means to maintain the area integrity, provided a sieved/classified product and provided operator safety during product transfer between processes and maintained low OEL values in operation.
Farleygreene can supply a full system matched to customer requirements, some example of layouts can be seen in the pictures. If you require advice on any project they can visit your site or alternatively they have test facilities at their headquarters in Hampshire.
