The Ease of Valves for Cement
Using tanker pinch valves for cement involves an easy process, thanks to the ease and simple design of the pinch valve. What happens during the transfer process of cement from a tanker to a silo is that a hose is attached to pipework where pinch valve for cement is installed in the normally open position. The cement powder is then blown through the hose, through the pinch valve and into the silo storage vessel at 2 BAR pressure. The pressure is usually always 2 BAR so as to not over-pressurise the silo and cause spillages.

Valves for Cement Specifications
Tanker valves for cement by AKO are available in a silver aluminium body as standard, and is unpainted as required by the semi-silo tanker industry regulations. These tanker valves for cement come in sizes DN100 or DN80, with flanged PN10/16 end connections. The natural rubber sleeve inside these valves for cement is strong and durable, and the type of elastomer is perfect for cement applications, whether the cement be in dry powder or wet sludge form.
The Working Principle of Valves for Cement
This type of valve for cement is normally open. It is operated by air being supplied into a nipple on the side of the valve body which compresses the strong elastomer sleeve inside the housing, causing it to collapse and close into an elliptical shape. The rubber sleeve fully shuts off around the powder, and in fact will shut off any product to stop the flow in any application including water, foodstuffs, chemicals, aggregates, slurries, combustible materials, paper pulp, sewage, plastic pellets, steel shot and many more.
