As the story unfolds surrounding the Sheffield half marathon this week, the absence of water supplies seems to be down to the bill remaining unpaid, despite requests from the supplier. But the race still went ahead, albeit in an unofficial capacity, with runners taking to the street, some of whom were reportedly oblivious that the race had actually been officially cancelled.
So just how would have so much water have been delivered to such en event? In bowsers, or horizontal water tanks is the answer. The key feature to horizontal water tanks when used as bowsers is their low centre of gravity and even more importantly, moulded-in ‘part baffles’ that reduce sloshing of liquids and provide greater stability during transportation. Also, Enduramaxx horizontal water tanks are WRAS approved, meaning they are deemed fit for storing water for human consumption.
