Market leading lubricants manufacturer ROCOL has extended its popular Sapphire® product range with the addition of a new and advanced multipurpose grease that delivers three times the life span of conventional greases.
ROCOL is billing new Sapphire® Advance 2 as the ultimate multipurpose lubricant, and says it will outperform any conventional multipurpose grease.
The ROCOL Sapphire® range comprises 11 application-specific greases that all extend equipment life and service intervals. Brendan Kendrick, business unit manager for maintenance lubricants at ROCOL, says that Sapphire® Advance 2 will strengthen this already popular product range:
“Sapphire® Advance 2 combines advanced lubrication technology, the extensive experience of our development team and our knowledge of customer needs. This delivers the key features customers would expect to see from a ROCOL product. These include outstanding load carrying, long term wear protection, oxidation stability, water resistance and corrosion protection – as well as delivering a proven life span which is superior to alternative products.
“This product is ideal for fast moving applications, such as fans and electric motors, and excels in arduous, high-speed conditions. It is also perfect for applications where acceleration/deceleration is experienced - such as short duty cycles – vibration and shock loads.”
Sapphire® Advance 2 has been designed for the effective lubrication and protection of ball, roller and plain bearings. It can be applied manually or with an applicator and is compatible with other soap-thickened greases although, for optimum performance, ROCOL recommends the removal of the previous lubricant before use.
