New Software Models Industrial Fires and Gas Dispersion
IAMTech are proud to launch two new products to the Oil, Gas, Power and Chemical sectors
IAMThermal and IAMDispersion allow emergency planners, emergency responders and SHE/HSE managers to quickly model:
– Industrial fires such as storage tank, bund/dyke, spill and Jet Fires
– Gas dispersion & liquid spill evaporation events.
Your simulations are shown on top of Google Earth to determine impact to plant asset, personnel and surrounding plant population centres.
IAMThermal enables the user to visualise an industrial fire incident. Decision support tool calculators are provided to support the determination of incident impact and resource deployment requirements. These tools enable the user to adjust the magnitude of the incident, calculating total risk and identifying equipment and infrastructure required.
IAMDispersion provides you with the ability to perform your own chemical release modelling and analysis, enabling you to visualise your worst credible industrial chemical release sources, in context, over satellite imagery of your asset and the surrounding area and population centres.
IAMTech Managing Director, Ross Coulman: ‘Visualisation is key to planning any industrial emergency event. IAMThermal and IAMDispersion allow you to quickly use best practice techniques, as used by BP and SHELL, to see the impact of fire or chemical release over google earth.
These products are ideal for use in a classroom setting as they facilitate the development of emergency pre-plans, assist in desktop exercises and familiarise new recruits with the geographic features of any location: from a single storage tank to your entire industrial site.’
