Powder Handling Workshops | 25–28 February
Key points
The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology invites you to a detailed series of Powder Handling Workshops from 25 to 28 February. Our facility features a wide range of specialized equipment designed to analyze and test powders and particulates, tackling the challenges associated with their handling and flow. Key evaluations include particle strength, size, wear, flowability, and dustiness—many of which utilize unique equipment that is not available anywhere else in the world.
Experience Hands-On Learning with Leading Techniques
These workshops provide participants with a unique chance to engage directly with advanced testing methods. Our team of experts will offer thorough demonstrations and hands-on support throughout each session. By the end of the workshops, attendees will have the knowledge and skills needed to identify, address, and prevent issues related to powder flow and handling.
Flexible, Stand-Alone Sessions
Each workshop is designed as an independent session, allowing participants to choose based on their specific interests and schedules. Sessions will take place daily from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, providing plenty of time for both theoretical insights and practical experience.
Workshop Schedule:
Tuesday 25 February: Understanding Powder Flow
Course Leaders: Dr Vivek Garg and Barry Ridley (Ametek)
Sessions covered: Measuring techniques, Case Studies, Testing, Analysis and Interpretation of data, Use of Virtual Tools
Wednesday 26 February: Characterisation Techniques
Course Leader: Dr Vivek Garg
Sessions covered: Case Studies, Particle Size Analysis, Particle Shape Analysis, Density Measurements, Use of data to solve the case study, Use of Virtual Tools
Thursday 27 February: Dust Containment Methods and Filtration
