Watson-Marlow to Exhibit Peristaltic Pump and Fluid Path Technologies in London Biotechnology Show Debut

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) will be making its debut at the London Biotechnology Show on 18-19 June, where it will be showcasing its peristaltic pumps and innovative fluid path technologies.

Attendees at the Watson-Marlow stand in ExCeL London will have the opportunity to discuss with life science specialists how WMFTS facilitates bioprocessing from upstream to downstream and end fill/finish. Featured at the exhibition will be WMFTS's range of scalable cased peristaltic pumps, specialist fillers and single-use assemblies.

Visitors to stand EP20 can also discover the benefits of WMArchitect™, a single-step solution designed to reduce risk, guarantee quality and speed up delivery times for pharma companies.

In addition to WMArchitect, the stand will be exhibiting WMFTS's peristaltic pumps and critical fluid path solutions, ideal for scalable drug bioprocessing and small-batch fill/finish drug product manufacture.

Customer and Market Insights Manager – Life Sciences Global Business Development, Steve Feasey, said:

Both our product and life sciences experts will be present to provide advice on how to best address common challenges in applications involving fluid transfer, compliance, processing stability and end-product quality.
As well as learning what our expanding portfolio of products can do at our booth, our London Biotechnology Show attendees will also be able to observe our pumps integrated into customers' own equipment at their own booths.

Products and Solutions on Display at Stand EP20

WMArchitect™ One-Off Solutions
Single-source, end-to-end biopharmaceutical fluid management solution. WMArchitect offers standard ready-to-use assemblies and custom designs with validation packages specifically prepared. Simplified to minimize process steps, maintain product integrity, limit regulatory constraints and transcend fluid path management challenges.

Watson-Marlow Peristaltic Pumps
With ±0.5% accuracy, Watson-Marlow pumps ensure reliability and quality in transfer, filling and filtration operations. Watson-Marlow 100 series pump achieves maximum yield in fermentation and cell culture applications with unparalleled speed control to 2,000:1, ±1% set speed accuracy and stable flow — ideal for single-use systems.

Flexicon PF7+
A benchtop peristaltic fill pump that is appropriate for precise and reliable manual filling of sensitive fluids in GMP and cleanroom applications. Its closed fluid path minimizes the risk of cross-contamination, making it suitable for aseptic filling. Flexicon systems range from manual to fully automatic designs that accommodate most containers like vials, bottles and tubes.

Watson-Marlow Tubing
Manufactured in ISO 14644-1 class 7 cleanrooms and tested to USP Class VI and FDA requirements, Watson-Marlow Tubing is supplied in over 40 sizes. With accurate non-contact continuous measurement, the tubing ensures consistent quality and delivers repeatable long-term pumping performance.

About us

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) peristaltic tube and hose pumps meet requirements including: value for money; low cost of ownership; reliability and ease of maintenance to the food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, mining and many other industries.

We demonstrate how pumps deliver significant process efficiencies over the lifetime of the equipment. Whether performing flavouring addition in food processing, chemical metering in water treatment or mineral recovery, we have a solution which can cut pump downtime and reduce costs through higher accuracy metering and transfer. WMFTG has dedicated application engineers available to help customers make the right pump and tubing choice from a range providing microlitres per minute to 80 cubic metres per hour flow rates.

The only part of the pump to come into contact with the product is the tube or hose. This means there are no seals or valves that can wear or fail. Replacing the tube or hose can be performed quickly and safely. Peristaltic pump benefits include:

Total fluid containment with no seals No ancillaries Handle viscous and abrasive slurries and sludge Self-priming capability Dry running without damage to the pump In addition to their range of positive displacement pumps, Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group has added PTFE-lined chemical and industrial hoses to their range. Aflex hoses are reinforced to withstand the most severe conditions and use.
