JetMix Systems to Fuel Saudi Wastewater Megaproject

Listen to this article

As Saudi Arabia strives further to reduce its dependence on oil and diversify its economy, mixing-technology market leader Landia has secured a substantial order for JetMix systems in new water recycling and recovery plants built for a colossal megaproject in the north of the Kingdom.

Externally mounted, the Landia JetMix system continuously reduces particle sizes.

As a service to an estimated one million people, the new treatment facilities will recycle all of the wastewater.

The effluent would be utilised entirely to harvest cellulose, nutrients, grit and biogas. In addition to that, seasonal stormwater runoff would be captured and stored by wetland creation and other retention facilities to return water to the land naturally.

Through venturi nozzles the Landia JetMix units (at optimally installed levels) will recycle the wastewater contained in various tanks evenly, mix and recycle so there will be no solids deposit at the bottom of the vessels.

The JetMix technology is also versatile such that when required concentrated mixing can be produced in specific areas.

Landia export director Thorkild Maagaard explained:

This is an accolade and exciting order for us to win on a project that really inspires the imagination. We already have a proven success story in the Middle East, with installations already up and operating successfully in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the UAE, where customers see the major benefits of highly efficient long-life machines giving the very best overall cost of ownership value.”.
