UWT Further Expands International Positioning for Liquid Applications

International Sales Meeting at UWT headquarters focuses on future growth in liquid applications
Under the motto “Liquid ready?!”, the international team at UWT GmbH came together at the company’s headquarters in southern Germany for the 8th International Sales Meeting (ISM) during the first week of May. The global gathering brought together subsidiaries, sales partners and employees from across the world for an intensive week centred on strategic planning, technical collaboration and future growth in liquid level measurement applications.
The annual event underlined UWT’s ongoing commitment to expanding its presence within the global process industry sector and strengthening its position in both solids and liquid level measurement technology markets.
Strategic planning to support long-term growth
The week began with a collaborative seven-year strategic planning process involving all eight UWT subsidiaries. Discussions focused on key business priorities including revenue growth, employee development, infrastructure investment and future production capacity requirements.
These plans will now be refined over the coming months and consolidated into a unified long-term strategy for the wider UWT Group.
Strategy turned into commitment – and this commitment is intended to drive sustainable growth: step by step and market by market.
By Tuesday evening, sales partners representing 35 countries had arrived in southern Germany for the official start of the International Sales Meeting. From Wednesday onwards, subsidiaries, sales partners and members of the UWT management, sales, product management and marketing teams worked closely together to define future strategies, strengthen market approaches and continue developing the company’s international positioning.
The event reflected growing demand across industrial automation, process control and level measurement sectors for advanced liquid monitoring technologies capable of supporting operational efficiency, process reliability and digital transformation initiatives.

Stronger focus on liquid applications
One of the defining themes of the week was the evolution of a central question posed at the beginning of the event: Are we ready for the liquid market?
Following a series of intensive workshops, technical presentations and practical hands-on sessions, the answer became a confident statement from the company and its international partners: We are liquid ready!
UWT demonstrated that it already provides a comprehensive portfolio for liquid applications, including sensor technology, monitoring systems and visualisation solutions designed for demanding industrial environments.
At the same time, the company highlighted the ongoing product development and strategic investment being made to further expand its liquid business activities in the years ahead.
The growing importance of liquid level measurement technology across industries such as chemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, water treatment and bulk material handling continues to create new opportunities for suppliers able to deliver reliable and intelligent process instrumentation solutions.

Technical expertise and sales development
Alongside discussions around sales strategy, the event also focused heavily on global marketing initiatives, new communication concepts and the continued development of international market strategies.
A major priority throughout the week was ensuring that international sales partners became fully “Liquid Ready”. This included providing participants with detailed technical knowledge, practical application expertise, clear sales arguments and targeted strategies to help grow liquid application business opportunities within their regional markets.
The shared objective remains clear: to further strengthen UWT’s global position as a supplier of level measurement and monitoring technology for both solids and liquids.
The technical programme also delivered valuable product insights for attendees. UWT’s Product Management team guided participants through a range of themed technical areas, each focusing on different applications and technologies relevant to modern industrial processing environments.
Feedback from attendees was consistently positive, with sessions praised for being practical, professionally delivered and highly relevant to current market requirements.
Inspiration from Olympic champion Michael Groß
One of the highlights of the International Sales Meeting was the keynote speech delivered by Michael Groß. The former professional swimmer, three-time Olympic champion and five-time world champion shared insights into motivation, organisational change and successful collaboration.
Drawing from his experience as an entrepreneur, coach and honorary professor for organisation and leadership, Groß discussed the importance of adaptability, teamwork and long-term vision in achieving sustainable success within international organisations.
His presentation provided inspiration for attendees as UWT continues to strengthen its international growth strategy and expand into new application areas.

Mediterranean atmosphere rounds off the event
The event concluded with a joint evening gathering held at the UWT headquarters. To mark the occasion, organisers created a small beach-inspired area complete with deck chairs and a beach bar as a tribute to the company’s production site in Malta, where the International Sales Meeting had originally been planned to take place.
To complement the Mediterranean theme, guests were also served traditional Maltese drinks and specialities during the closing celebrations.
The 8th International Sales Meeting once again highlighted the strong international orientation of the UWT Group and reinforced the company’s commitment to further growth within the global level measurement technology market.
As demand continues to increase for advanced liquid level sensors, process monitoring systems and industrial automation solutions, UWT’s latest strategic initiatives demonstrate its ambition to strengthen its position across key industrial sectors worldwide.
