Submersible Level Transmitters for Wastewater Monitoring

Listen to this article

GP:50 NY Ltd (GP:50), an ISO9001:2008 certified leading designer and manufacturer of standard and custom pressure, level and temperature sensing instrumentation, has introduced the Model 311-M351 submersible level transmitter.

The all-stainless steel construction of the Model 311-M351 ensures high-reliability within challenging wastewater lift station monitoring applications. Its corrosion-resistant design is submersible to 1100 feet (335 meters) WC. It is available in standard ranges from 0-10 thru 0-1100 feet WC (0-3 thru 0-335 meters WC), with custom ranges available upon request. Units are available with choice of 4-20 mA or 0-5 Vdc output, as well as an optional temperature output.
The submersible level transmitter further incorporates a 3-inch diameter clog-resistant sensing diaphragm and corrosion-resistant protective baffle plate, both of which eliminate process clogging. These features also facilitate unrestricted high-accuracy level depth measurements within heavy sludge or foam conditions.
The baffle plate also reduces risks of effluent sensor damage, particularly in lift station applications where particulate matter is present. Integral lightning and surge protection is offered as standard. A supplemental DIN rail mountable lightning and surge protection package is optional. When combined with the unit’s integral protective features, the additional package can help to significantly extend the service life of the Model 311-M351 within outdoor environments. Optional FM and CSA approvals are also available for hazardous location use.
Typical applications for the GP:50 Model 311-M351 include submersible pump lift station level monitoring, process sumps, lift stations, wet wells, water tanks and reservoirs, ponds, process sludge (including heavy sludge) and municipal wastewater environments.
