Endress+Hauser has commissioned a new in-house water flow calibration rig, incorporating the very latest developments in Endress+Hauser flow technology to provide high quality, water-based flow calibrations.
How well and how accurately a measuring instrument performs within a process is directly linked to the control, safety, quality and efficiency of a production plant. For this reason the need to regularly check, prove, calibrate and adjust instruments is a critical activity within every quality controlled organisation.
There are limited options to calibrate flowmeter devices in-situ and the necessary tools are often too expensive for most production plants to own and operate. Outsourcing the calibration of critical instruments therefore becomes an economical solution, but it is vital that the off-site facility you choose for testing and calibration is traceable and accredited.
Sited at the Endress+Hauser head office in Manchester, the new rig calibrates flowmeters from 25-80mm against Endress+Hauser high accuracy (0.05%) Promass Coriolis twin reference meters. Smaller flowmeters (1-25mm) are calibrated against a weigh tank using load cells. Calibrations can be carried out in volume or mass and our flow rig is suitable for any meter with DIN/ANSI flanges or hygienic process connections and flow ranges up to 100m3/hr.
