New Multimeters use TRUE RMS Measuring Method to Deliver Highly Accurate Results
Devices utilise TRUE RMS measuring technology to deliver highly accurate results without interference or distortion
Conrad Business Supplies now stocks two new digital multimeters from manufacturer, Benning. The MM 6-1 and MM 6-2 are quality instruments that use the TRUE RMS measuring method to deliver highly accurate results even when testing non-sinusoidal signal sequences.
These two new multimeters are designed to withstand voltage spikes up to measurement categories, CAT III 1000 V and even CAT IV 600 V. They are hence built to a rugged standard that permits their use in demanding environments, such as factories and heavy engineering plants.
True RMS improves upon the traditional RMS (root mean square) average measuring method, by indicating the actual effective value of an alternating current correctly. This method works irrespective of whether the signal waveform of the current is sinusoidal or distorted.
Low input resistance is itself ensured by using the AUTO V-LoZ function to suppress reactive voltages and prevent inaccurate readings caused by interference. The AUTO V-LoZ function furthermore offers the possibility to trigger out a residual current device by using the probes between phase and earth.
New to the BENNING MM 6 series is a removable, protective rubber holster that provides shock protection. This holster is equipped with an integrated magnetic hanger, which allows the multimeter to be easily attached to metallic surfaces for the convenience of the user. A custom carrying case and additional accessories are also provided with each multimeter.
Benedikt Sehr, Product Manager, Category Business Supplies at Conrad commented: “At Conrad we look to introduce high-quality products that offer our customers the advanced features they require. These two latest multimeters from Benning delivers all of this at what we consider to be an excellent price to performance ratio and even come packaged with additional accessories.”
