Protective cover provides reliable outdoor protection for industrial connectors
The reliable Han(R) HPR series of industrial connector housings from HARTING now includes a protective cover for size 3 A bulkhead and surface mounting housings.
The new cover protects the contact inserts from environmental influences when not in use: in particular, effects that can cause outages in outdoor applications in the rail and industrial sectors. This is a particularly significant challenge for interfaces that are not always in use, such as service interfaces.

The Han(R) 3 HPR protective cover is fitted with the same screw locking system used for the hoods, and fulfils IP 68 protection requirements according to IEC 60529 in the locked position. It is optionally available with a stainless steel lanyard, ensuring that the protective cover will not be lost.
The primary application of the Han(R) HPR series is in the areas of electrical interfaces in vehicles, applications with increased climatic demands, wet areas and sensitive interfaces that need to be protected or shielded.
