Hydrostatic health and safety – Play it safe and go remote with Deltapilot S
Difficult to access areas on plant that require a hydrostatic level measurement can be a problem. The Health & Safety Executive’s Work at Height Regulations 2005 and Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 can add costs due to additional equipment or working practices necessary for each measurement point.
By using Endress+Hauser’s Deltapilot S FMB70 hydrostatic pressure transmitter with an integral remote housing (up to a distance of 10m), commissioning, adjustment and viewing can be carried out at a potentially safer place of work.
It’s not only at height where you can benefit from Deltapilot’s remote housing. Measuring points located under low and difficult to access vessels, within bund walls or in pits, can be made safer by employing the remote housing. No more scaffolding, ladders and harnesses and no more lying in dimly lit, wet and hazardous conditions trying to adjust the transmitter or view the display! Simply locate the electronic housing and display at a safe and convenient position.
It’s not just safety that’s been accounted for – it’s also about accuracy, reliability and convenience! The new improved Deltapilot S FMB70 addresses all these issues. This hydrostatic pressure transmitter does not require any special software or communication equipment. By using the navigation pushbuttons on the digital display, you can quickly commission it and get your process up and running! Available as analogue HART, PROFIBUS PA or as FOUNDATION Fieldbus signal output, Deltapilot S can be simply retrofitted into existing systems.
