Cyntech expands enclosures offering with Hammond deal

Cyntech Components, a specialist supplier of electro-mechanical components and power supplies, has been appointed as a UK distributor for Canadian enclosure manufacturer, Hammond Manufacturing. Its product range includes metal industrial enclosures for electrical and electronic equipment, ranging from those for datacom infrastructure to user consoles and climate control system housings. Founded in 1917, Hammond also makes racks and rack cabinets, a wide variety of small plastic and metal boxes, plus power outlet strips, surge suppressors and electronic transformers.

Cyntech will market the whole range of small enclosure products and assist customers with the design of modified enclosures, which Hammond will then manufacture.

Commenting on the deal, Cyntech managing director, Dave Mellor, said:
