REMBE provide an extensive variety of bursting disc units and designs for protection against pressure and vacuum of extruders and machinery in the plastic processing industry.
All standard connections/bores for pressure transducers resp. probes on plastic extruders can be equipped with REMBE extruder bursting disc units. Existing standard mounting threads include ½”-20UNF, 5/8”11UNC, M18X1,5 and 1-1/4”-20UNF are used. Customer bespoke designs can also be satisfied.
Burst pressures are specified according to the application. Pressures beyond 1,000 barg (14,500 psig) and temperatures up to 600 °C (1,112 °F) are part of the standard performance range. The special gas-tight soldered or welded burst membrane allows for efficient (dead spot-free) installation directly at the extruder screw. Integral burst disc signalling can also be included as a standard feature.
