Under The Producer Responsibility (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007, companies which exceed such turnovers are required to assess the amount of packaging they handle, and contribute towards the cost of recycling in the UK.
A spokesperson from Kite Packaging said: “The new on site tool will be great addition for businesses who have previously struggled to get a handle on this very difficult bit of legislation. The new tool gives individual customers the ability to access instant live data on their packaging materials usage – ordered through Kite Online.”
“Here at Kite our online teams are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting ways to improve the website and make the process of buying from us even easier, this new tool is all part of that.”
Kite can provide businesses with one-to-one support to those unsure of their responsibilities, and can be assigned a regulations expert to help with the whole compliance process including, an initial assessment of your company, identification of your obligated packaging and a calculation of your obligation, among other services.
