Kellogg”s have chosen a robotic Top Load Case Packer from T. Freemantle Automation for their speciality cereals plant. The machine automatically collates the cereals in a range of collations and runs with a range of 8 different pack formats and case sizes. The machine can run at a speed of up to 120 packs per minute or 20 cases per minute. The ABB 6 axis robot provides the required efficiency, repeatability and reliability expected by Kellogg”s. The Casepacker is an addition to the line that already includes an Automatic End Load Cartoner, Turning Conveyors and Rumble Conveyors supplied by T. Freemantle Ltd at the end of 2010 forming a fully automated packing line.
