Explosion-proof Technology from Schubert & Salzer
Schubert & Salzer are pleased to launch their new ATEX certified explosion proof Digital Positioner 8049-ex. At the height of technological developments, the 8049 Positioner employed modern AS-I interface, which provided higher reliability and greater installation, operational and diagnostic benefits. Moving further forward, the 8049-exia combines these capabilities with the added bonus of explosion proof technology.
As with all Schubert & Salzer digital positioners, the 8049-exia can be configured via a PC interface and a user-friendly graphical interface. The positioner features outstanding operational reliability and any on-site configurations are kept to an absolute minimum, being limited to self-balancing and adjusting the positioner locally if required. This means the valve can be conveniently configured on site without the need for a control signal from the plant’s control centre.
