CATCH, the industry authentic training and assessment centre in Lincolnshire, is seeking to add a second training process plant and a biodiesel plant to its portfolio of facilities. In order to match funding that has been secured, we need to source donations of equipment to construct the new facilities. We would also like to make the process plant suitable for instrument technician training. For generous donations, we will ensure your company get credited.
There are numerous benefits to be gained for all:-
- The donor company earns environmental and corporate social responsibility credit for recycling/reusing equipment that would otherwise have gone to scrap or landfill and for helping an educational establishment.
- We secure an asset to add to our authentic, industrial-scale training facility.
- The learners benefit from having genuine industrial equipment to work with thus enhancing the “work-ready” skills they acquire here.
We are ideally looking for the following equipment, but we will consider anything you may be able to donate.
Process Plant
- Reaction vessels and storage tanks of various materials of construction from 5,000 to 20,000 litre scale – but if you have anything outside this scale let us know.
- Pumps (~4kW motors)
- 2” & 3” auto and hand valves
- Pipework and instrumentation such as flow meters, temperature gauges, level indicators and load cells
Biodiesel Plant
- The manufacturing equipment would be similar to the process plant but on a smaller scale.
- Muffle furnace
- Benchtop centrifuge
- Analytical equipment including
- Hertzog MP329 Automatic Pensky-Martens Tester
- Koehler Copper strip test bath
- Koehler Kinematic viscosity system
- Koehler Cloud Pour Point bath
- Automatic Potentionmetric titrator
- Gas chromatograph
