Wide range of Metso”s Neles flow control products receive SIL certifications
Metso”s customer can confidently apply the high performance flow control products they have become familiar with on the process side to critical safety applications as well.
Metso has certified several flow control products to help process industry end-users ensure that their plants comply with technical standard “IEC 61511, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), for the process industry sector.

The following products can be used in safety loops requiring Safety Integrity Level SIL 3 classified automated on-off valves:

*   Neles® ValvGuard VG9000 intelligent safety solenoid
In applications where a control valve can perform the safety action, the following products can be used in flow control loops requiring SIL classified control valves:

Third party certificates are in accordance with the newest version of IEC 61508.
