Siemens bolsters power & aggregates industry team

Siemens Industry Automation and Drive Technologies (IA&DT) has appointed two new recruits to its Sensors and Communication division to further strengthen its support for the power and aggregates industries.

Ian Elsby and Raj Kandasamy take on two newly created roles, covering the north and south respectively to provide dedicated expertise for this key area of industry.

Ian Elsby joins Siemens from Endress+Hauser, with over nine years process instrumentation expertise, he comments: “I’m delighted to have joined the team at Siemens and through this new role we can provide tailored support for the power and aggregates industries and help the sectors further increase operational efficiency.”

Having been with Siemens for over four years, Raj Kandasamy moves into the new role to apply his 15 years industry experience to further enhance Siemens’ expertise and reach in the environmental power, mining, aggregates and cement industries. He comments: “The two new power and aggregates focused roles are testament to the potential for increased operational efficiency Siemens sees in these sectors. We believe there is huge scope to further improve the running of plants and by having committed team members responsible for these industries, we will be able to offer even more dedicated support.”
