Adjustable valve lockout device launched
Master Lock Europe has launched a new adjustable ball valve Lock Out/Tag Out (LO/TO) device, designed to quickly and reliably disable a wide variety of quarter-turn valves commonly found in industrial facilities. Used in conjunction with Master Lock safety padlocks, the new S3080 offers an easy and effective way to ensure valves cannot be operated accidentally while maintenance work is being carried out.
Master Lock”s new S3080 offers an easy and effective way to ensure valves cannot be operated accidentally while maintenance work is being carried out.
Moulded from extremely durable polycarbonate & PBT, the S3080 is lightweight but robust, and highly resistant to common industrial chemicals, such as sodium hydrochlorate, acetic acid, methanol, naphtha and toluene. Combined with its wide operating temperate range of -40⁰C to +93⁰C, the S3080 is ideal for harsh or exposed environments. The adjustable S3080 accommodates quarter-turn ball valves from 12.7mm to 50.8mm and can be used with any Master Lock safety lockout padlock. For additional safety, holes in the legs of the S3080 allow use of the Master Lock S806 Cable Lockout to ensure the most secure fit.
The new S3080 joins Master Lock’s extensive range of ball valve lockout devices, which includes the all-metal S3068 designed for high-temperature or extremely harsh environments, and the 468L, which makes accidental valve activation almost impossible by removing and securing the handle.
