Airtec Filtration makes History!

Listen to this article

St Helens based dust and fume extraction specialists Airtec Filtration came to the rescue of The Natural History Museum in London by supplying a refurbished dust extraction system.

The Natural History Museum carry out a lot of in-house manufacture of display cabinets to suit many of their exhibits, but the application means they came up against one rather dusty problem. As a consequence of cutting, grinding and sanding, it meant large amounts of dust were created and Buckinghamshire based company Cityarch called on the expertise of Airtec Filtration to come to their rescue.  Airtec Filtration designed and supplied a small-refurbished DCE Donaldson extraction system installed by Cityarch that offered 2,300m3/hr of airflow. It is the second time Cityarch had called upon Airtec to offer a cost-effective and efficient solution.

The Natural History Museum were pleased to benefit from the cost savings of opting for refurbished equipment but with their own clear vision for restoring pieces of history and being ‘green’, it only seemed right to do a little restoring and recycling of their own with the help of Airtec Filtration.
