Gary Shepherd is the Managing Director of James Ramsay, a Glasgow and Manchester-based industrial and commercial heating and pipework specialist. He has led the company through significant growth, building on its century-long heritage to expand its capabilities and market reach while driving innovation in sustainable heat and energy solutions. Gary combines his deep technical knowledge with a practical engineering background. Having successfully qualified as a mechanical engineer at the University of Glasgow, he has held several key positions at James Ramsay, laterally as Operations Director, and is strongly committed to quality, safety and operational excellence in his role. Under his leadership, James Ramsay has strengthened its service offering across steam, gas and energy systems, and has been active in industry partnerships and sustainability initiatives. Gary has also been recognised as an Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineers in Scotland, one of the highest professional accolades in the field.
