B Series Pumps help clean vinyl records

Listen to this article

Charles Austen Pumps B Series Pumps have been chosen for their reliability, robust construction and long service life by a manufacturer of the record cleaning machines: Loricraft Audio. The B Series Pumps offers contamination free pumping where a vacuum is required. The Loricraft record cleaning machines are sold at the high end of the market to Hi-Fi experts and are suitable for a bench top in the lounge.

Vinyl records, which are often now collectors’ items, are renowned for becoming very dirty. Suction and noise were the key requirements of the pump required to clean the records to the high standards expected by professionals.  The B100 Pumps were selected as they maintain a pressurised flow and vacuum for continuous action but generate a very quiet operation. The pump maintains a very low vibration to enable smooth running of the operation.

As an OEM pump, the B100 Diaphragm Pump provides a clean, oil free vacuum and pressure source with minimal current consumption.  The pump’s performance offers maximum flow of 33 l/min, vacuum of 80 m/bar and 2.5 bar maximum pressure and is ideal for continuous duty. The B Series Pumps offer versatile installations by orientating the pump head and connectors in any direction for optimum space saving. Other options are available for chemical resistant and portable versions.
Application ideas include medical suction, environmental monitoring and flame photometry.

Charles Austen Pumps Ltd has been developing pumps for over 60 years and specialise in adapting their current range or developing unique pumps to customer specification.  They engineer a solution that provides the required performance along with the correct size parameters to fit client installations.
