It must be any engineer’s dream to have 225 designers ready to develop load or weight sensing products specifically for his/her application but that’s the reality behind a new agreement which Variohm-Eurosensor have recently entered into. The designers are on the staff of Zemic (Zhongang Electronic Measuring Instruments Co. Ltd.) who claim to be the world’s third largest manufacturer of such products.

Located in Shaanxi, China, Zemic have been involved in the development and manufacture of sensors and loadcells since 1965, they have over 2000 employees yet they are virtually unknown in the market place. The explanation for this rather extraordinary set of circumstances lies in the fact that they have spent many years supplying products to other companies under those companies’ own labels.

The Zemic range includes many products which can be described as “Generic” or “Industry Standards” as well as a host of special designs built specifically to suit a particular application.
