DONALDSON POSTS DE RUDDER 2012 SAE TECHNICAL PAPER ON COMPANY WEBSITE
Tier 4 high efficiency SCR for agricultural applications
Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), a leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, announced today that Dr. Korneel De Rudder’s technical paper, Tier 4 High Efficiency SCR for Agricultural Applications, has been posted to the company’s website. Dr. De Rudder, System Development Manager, Exhaust Aftertreatment at the Donaldson Coordination Center in Belgium, presented the paper at the 2012 SAE World Congress & Exhibition held last April in Detroit, Michigan.
Authored by De Rudder, the SAE technical paper focuses on Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment systems for off-road diesel engines, such as large agricultural machinery – tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers, etc. – with a power rating of 130-560kW. De Rudder discusses how state-of-the-art SCR technology can make a non-EGR diesel engine meet Tier 4 final emission limits without using particulate filtration.
De Rudder has a Bachelor in Automotive Engineering from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, a Master’s of Science in International Automotive Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, in conjunction with the University of Applied Science, Hamburg, Germany, and a Ph.D. in Emissions of Diesel Engines from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. He joined Donaldson in 2006. De Rudder has demonstrated his strong technical leadership within the global emissions group, and has contributed significantly to Donaldson’s emissions technology and products.
