Marioff’s HI-FOG® Electric Pump Unit (EPU), renowned for its advanced control system and simplified mechanical design, has received certification for its control cabinet.
Granted by FGU /NIIPO of EMERCOM, a Russian certification body and one of the world’s largest research centres of fire safety, the newest recognition means the HI-FOG EPU is now fully approved by VNIIPO and available for more projects in Russia. Marioff, a leading developer of water mist fire protection technology, is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

The VNIIPO certification is necessary for all fire protection products that are sold in Russia. The HI-FOG EPU consists of a modular pump skid and a separate control cabinet. It is an integral part of the design as the embedded control system of the control cabinet controls the pressure in all operating states and monitors the HI-FOG system pressure continuously. The HI-FOG EPU’s mechanical pump skid received VNIIPO approval last year.
FGU VNIIPO of EMERCOM (All-Russian Research Institute for Fire Protection, Ministry of Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters) is accredited as a fire engineering research establishment and product certification body in the Russian Federation.
