Energy saving drives from DeltaSense can be tailored to OEM requirements
Offering substantial energy savings, the new ECF three-phase inverter drives from DeltaSense can be used to control permanent magnet synchronous motors widely used in energy saving fans, compressors, pumps etc. They can also drive standard AC motors.
Their high efficiency means they can consume up to 60% less power than traditional frequency inverters used with AC motors. In addition, sensorless control allows them to drive motors without the need for rotor position sensors.
The compact drives deliver outputs from 2.2 to 10 kW and can be customised to meet specific OEM designs. Fitting the “plug and play” units simply requires the connection of power, motor and analogue control leads. They can also be controlled digitally via RS485 or Modbus inputs.
“Their advanced design lets them operate at efficiencies as high as 96 per cent,” said David Hardy, managing director at DeltaSense.
Multiple safety functions include protection against temperature, overvoltage, undervoltage, motor short circuit, locked rotor, missing start and missing motor phase. An integrated EMC filter helps meet CE compliance.
The IP20 rated drives are ideal for controlling fans, compressors, water pumps, conveyors, mixers and other components.
