Handheld thermography cameras

The EasIR range of handheld thermography cameras from Armstrong Optical Ltd of Northampton have been introduced to the market to provide a solution to all thermal measurement requirements. The range are extremely easy to understand and operate and have been designed for both entry-level and expert users.

These intuitive systems generate fully radiometric JPEG images containing full temperature information that can be stored on an internal SD card and/or transmitted via USB2.0 to a PC for subsequent analysis using the provided IrAnalyser software suite.

The EasIR cameras are the only products in their class to offer autofocus at the push of a button and IR-fusion imagery where the thermal image is overlaid onto the visible image to allow for even clearer imagery.

Operating at a frame rate of 50Hz with a 160×120 pixel sensor, all the systems in the EasIR range offer a thermal resolution of less than 0.1°C and an accuracy of ±2°C or ±2% over a temperature range of -20°C to +250°C, the range being extended with the EasIR-4 up to +350°C as an option. Other options include snap-on, radiometrically calibrated,  wide angle or telephoto lenses that extend the capability of these systems even further. Also available as standard with the EasIR-4 system is the ability to record fully radiometric video, either on the internal SD card or a PC via the USB2.0 interface.

Produced for thermographic analysis in a variety of maintenance environments means that these cameras have to be tough – all EasIR cameras are drop-tested from 3m to ensure continued operation in the meanest work places.
