Industrial Washing Machine Manufacturer Delivers Sparkly Results!

Listen to this article

Birmingham-based manufacturer Industrial Washing Machines Ltd (IWM) has announced sales growth of almost 30% for the first quarter of 2012 compared with the same period last year. To support this strong and sustained growth, and to lay sound foundations for future success, the company has added six new employees to its workforce since the beginning of the year, increased production floor space by 35% and has also made large investments in machinery, facilities and accreditations.

To assure its customers and employees that it is following best practice in Health and Safety in all aspects of its operations, including the design and manufacture of its equipment, IWM has worked closely with Citation, the UK’s leading provider of Health & Safety compliance solutions. As a result, IWM has gained the entitlement to display the coveted Citation Health & Safety Quality Mark.

IWM has also invested in new design software that supports 3D modelling. This will make it easy for the company’s customers not only to visualise the machines they are buying, but also to see exactly how they will fit into their own factory floor environment. In addition, the new software has enabled IWM to streamline its design processes, therefore maintaining its competitiveness.

To ensure that it can continue to offer fast response to customer demands even though its business is growing rapidly, IWM has installed an additional sheet metal brake press, which will be used to fabricate many of the stainless steel components of its machines. The new press has significantly boosted the company’s production capacity as well as increasing the flexibility of its manufacturing operations.

Additionally, IWM has also completely refurbished its office facilities to provide extra resources for its administrative and support services and signed up for an extra 4,000 square foot of factory facilities. As a further service to existing and potential customers, it is also planning to set up a dedicated demonstration area in the near future. This will make it possible for customers to bring in samples of their own products to be washed and sanitised by IWM’s demonstration equipment.
