Innovasic’s PROFINET and PROFIBUS RapID Platform Solution Accelerates Interface Development with “Unified Interface”

Now, developers of industrial automation devices can achieve faster time to market with PROFINET and PROFIBUS by using Innovasic’s RapID Platform solution.  A unified interface between the host processor and the RapID Platform means the hardware and software for this interface need to be developed only once instead of separate developments for each protocol – shortening development time.  And, because the solution has already been certified for both PROFINET and PROFIBUS, development risk is lower.  In addition, it is possible to utilize the unified interface with EtherNet/IP, EtherNet/IP with DLR, and ModbusTCP thereby leveraging the PROFINET and PROFIBUS development effort.

As with any Industrial Ethernet version of the RapID Platform, users benefit from Innovasic’s PriorityChannel™ technology – a key feature for Industrial Ethernet field devices that eliminates the effects of network traffic and loading.  PriorityChannel™ ensures real-time Industrial Ethernet messages are always processed on-time, every time regardless of the amount or type of network traffic.
