Integrated enterprise alarm management solutions for the oil and gas market

Listen to this article

MAC Solutions, developer of the ProcessVue suite of alarm management software, has announced a cross-sourcing partnership agreement with Intelligent Plant, a provider of enterprise visualisation and business intelligence solutions for the oil & gas sector.

Both considered market leaders, the agreement will enable the companies to draw on each others’ strengths and to offer integrated, enterprise-wide solutions to oil and gas customers that cover all of their products and services.
ProcessVue is a suite of software that provides clear, relevant and prioritised information to plant operators, supervisors and managers, enabling them to make better-informed decisions about their processes and plant safety. The software combines the latest communication, data logging and reporting technologies with more than 25 years’ experience in design and implementation of Alarm Management software. ProcessVue can be used as a standalone application or to bring together multiple disparate systems onto one common platform.
Based in Aberdeen, Intelligent Plant specialises in the performance monitoring of equipment and processes through analysis and visualisation of real-time data, enabling engineers to see what is happening on their plant and across the enterprise. The company offers a variety of services, including real-time data applications; software integration; mathematical modelling; process graphics; legacy control system configuration and support; installation, troubleshooting and support of Modbus and OPC systems.
John Pritchard, Managing Director of MAC Solutions commented: “The agreement with Intelligent Plant means that customers can now benefit from a much wider offering of products and services from a single source. Both parties will now be able to offer customers an increased breadth of applications that cover single-site installations to multi-site, enterprise-wide solutions for alarm management and asset comparison.”
Steve Aitken, Managing Director at Intelligent Plant agreed: “We are very excited about the agreement with MAC Solutions, as it will enable both companies to concentrate their efforts on developing new products and features that do not yet exist on the market. We believe that the combined strengths of Intelligent Plant and ProcessVue will result in improved, integrated solutions that will appeal to a large number of oil and gas companies.”
MAC Solutions recently secured a multi-site contract for ProcessVue with one of the UK’s major power companies, which will standardise on ProcessVue across seven of its UK sites.
MAC Solutions has also opened a new ProcessVue software development centre in Chesterfield, which is enabling MAC Solutions to continue to develop new software features and functionality, as well as expanding technical support and services for ProcessVue.
