Inspection Equipment has appointed Ian Wilcox to manage the UK, a well respected and experienced figure in the UK’s metrology network.

Ian says ‘manufacturing needs four things from a supplier, a responsive service, good value, best practice advice and healthy choice. Measurement is an area where a company’s hard earned profits can be wasted by bad advice or lack of information when buying new equipment.’

Ian Wilcox’s Bio

Ian Wilcox started in metrology straight from school as part of his apprenticeship with Jaguar Cars. Having worked in manufacturing gaining an extensive knowledge of metrology and measurement, Ian moved into measuring equipment supply working for long spells at both Mitutoyo and Hexagon Metrology. Sitting on the BSI geometrical tolerance committee and playing a lead role in developing formal metrology training with the NPL. Ian has a respected knowledge of metrology and measurement applications across many manufacturing processes, having dealt with a good proportion of the UK’s manufacturing companies over his career.
