New square and round frame IE2 AC induction motor range offered to OEMs and Industrial End-Users

Complementing its extensive variable frequency drive range, Parker Hannifin has launched a new square frame and round frame AC induction motor offer. Enabling Industrial End-Users, OEMs and System Integrators to purchase a complete motor and drive package from a single source, the new ranges are available with options such as encoder feedback, insulated bearings and holding brakes.
The IE2 efficiency motors cover power ranges from 0.09 kW through to 524kW. The models are suitable for use with variable frequency drives such as Parker’s own newly launched AC30V Series pump and fan drive, in a host of general industrial applications such as pumps, fans and material handling, as well as more specialist applications such as printing machinery or test rigs.

The MR series features a durable rigid construction, optional axial in-line force ventilation fan and a pre-wired 2048 ppr encoder, making it suitable for use in general purpose open, or closed loop control applications. For applications requiring higher dynamic response, the MS Series offers excellent speed and torque control when matched to one of Parker’s AC890 or AC690+ variable frequency drives. The MS range is also ideally suited for upgrading from older DC motors, as its compact frame size makes its dimensions similar to that of a DC motor of the same power rating.
Both the MS and MR range can be ordered with additional encoder or holding brake. The MS motor can also be supplied with insulated roller or ball bearings and one of a number of different motor thermal protection devices.
