GAMBICA’s Process Instrumentation and Control Council (PICC) have chosen a new Chair to take it forward into 2024.

Edward Jukes, General Manager/Technical Director at KROHNE, is set to take over from David Ineson, Marketing Director at Endress+Hauser.

As Chair, Edward vows to continue the great work of the previous Chair by ensuring the PICC remains relevant to the changing needs of all its members.

He said: “Promoting our sector to the next generation of talented young people – especially through our links with the GAMBICA Young Council, the GAMBICA University and Industrial Collaboration Council and STEM outreach programmes, is very important.

I would also like to see us build on our recent direct and very fruitful engagement with government departments and ministers, further raising the profile of our sector and its vital role in supporting our critical national infrastructure and industries.”

Previous Chair, David, said: “It’s been a real privilege to chair the PICC over recent years and as my tenure comes to an end, it’s time to reflect if we achieved all that we set out to.

At the time I became Chair, no one envisaged a global pandemic but I am proud of the way we steered a course through the crisis and continued to bring value to members and the wider industry alike.

Scott has been a great help throughout and I am sure we will continue to provide invaluable support to Edward, who now steps up to the mantle. I look forward to supporting them both in the future.”

The PICC is comprised of senior leadership figures of the Process Instrumentation & Control industry, the Council serves as the main steering group for GAMBICA activities in the sector as well as being a forum for discussion of key issues affecting business in the UK.
