Spelsberg further reduces lead times for standard and customised enclosures with new UK headquarters

Spelsberg UK, the UK”s leading distributor of non-metallic electrical enclosures, has moved into a fit-for-purpose headquarters in Telford to support its continuing growth. The move will allow Spelsberg to continue its investment in its customisation services while also doubling the amount of available warehouse space to ensure that lead times are kept to an absolute minimum for nearly all standard parts orders.

Spelsberg”s previous headquarters were also located in Telford, ideally positioned in the midlands for quick delivery across the UK, but the with the introduction of new products and continued investment in its CNC customisation and assembly lines it was felt that the company”s rapid expansion would best be supported with larger facilities. The new building will allow Spelsberg to almost double its stock profile while also reducing lead times for orders which require customisation.

Chris Lloyd, General Manager for Spelsberg UK, comments: “Over the past few years we have introduced several new enclosure ranges and associated products into our portfolio which has allowed us to enter new industries while also offering solutions to a wider range of applications for the industries that we have always worked with. As demand for our products has grown we felt that the only way to continue to deliver the exceptionally low lead times that we are known for was to expand the building into larger premises.”

The new facilities allows us to continue to invest in our CNC machining facilities and assembly line which means that our customers can continue to rely on us for short lead times and reliable enclosure solutions.”

The move to the new facilities was completed on 22nd April. As always products can be ordered direct from Spelsberg or from most leading supply specialists including RS, Rapid, Farnell and CPC.
