SPP Pumps recognised as Manufacturer of the Year

SPP Pumps, a leading provider of centrifugal pumps and systems, has been awarded ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ at the recent Pump Industry Awards. SPP was also given this prestigious award back in 2008, and this year achieved a double win as company director Owen Shevlin was given ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award.

Throughout its 130 year history, SPP Pumps has been committed to delivering engineering excellence and high performance pumping solutions to its customers, using its knowledge, expertise and people to really add value to customers’ business. The Manufacturer of the Year award is recognition of that dedication, and show that customers prefer to choose SPP for advice and support on their critical applications.

Bob Tichband, General Sales Manager at SPP, commented: “For us, success is about three key things. We make quality products and solutions, we have a dedicated team of experts who go out of their way to exceed expectations, and we never let our customers down. And so we are absolutely delighted to have been recognised once again as Manufacturer of the Year. SPP Pumps boasts a manufacturing centre in Coleford (Gloucestershire), and believes a major part of its success is down to quality of management and world class engineers. The company is growing year on year and providing new, more exciting solutions for customers around the world.

Owen Shevlin, company director at SPP, is a perfect example of the people within the business who make things happen. Winning the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award is a real recognition of his commitment to the industry for the past 43 years.

Shevlin commented: “What a surprise it was to receive this award. I’ve worked at SPP since 1987 when I started as managing director, and it has been a pleasure to watch the company grow into a real player within the world of pump systems.

“I feel humbled that the industry sees me as worthy of such an honour. And of course to win another Manufacturer of the Year title represents acknowledgement of the influence SPP as a whole brings to the industry. I have no doubt that with our dedicated team of people and our focus on helping customers where it matters, we’ll go from strength to strength over the coming years.”
