The new Smart Pump – that thinks for itself

Listen to this article

A new top of the range smart pump, that totally eliminates the need for a float allowing it work in even the most confined spaces, has been launched in the UK by Obart Pumps, the country”s leading supplier and distributor of pumps and accessories.

Available at a value for money price, some 15% less expensive when compared to conventional automatic pumps, the RS-32e Smart Pump, literally thinks for itself, working when water levels reach 25 mm. It then checks every three minutes to ensure that levels never go any higher.

With dimensions of 155mm wide and 285mm high and a top outlet of 32mm, it has been developed for confined areas such as lift shafts, basements and tanks. The RS-32e Smart Pump is virtually maintenance free with an electrical sensor consisting of no moving parts and with the absence of a float operation cannot be prevented by obstructions.

Constructed in thermoplastic, Obart”s Smart Pump will work well with both clean and dirty water and will ensure that levels will be drained to a depth of 10mm after each operation.

The Smart Pump features a stainless steel shaft with a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal together with an intermediate oil chamber and inner lip seal. For increased reliability it is fitted with an anti airlock device and a non-return valve.

The launch of the Smart Pump follows 18 months of extensive testing under extreme conditions and will be unveiled in the UK for the first time at the IWEX Exhibition in May at the NEC.

Suitable for both domestic and industrial applications the Smart Pump is particularly suitable for areas where a value for money low cost solution is required.
