Maximising Nuclear Power Plant Efficiency With The K1200

Listen to this article

HACH LANGE has launched the new ORBISPHERE K1200 luminescent oxygen sensor for monitoring oxygen in nuclear power plants. This sensor uses Luminescent Dissolved Oxygen (LDO) technology, a proven technology within the power industry which can maximise power plant efficiency, and save operator maintenance tasks and costs.

The ORBISPHERE K1200 has a two second measurement frequency that can measure over a 12 month period with no intervention – ideal for nuclear applications and promoting ALARA principals: Other benefits include:

•    Annual calibration required
•    Minimal drift, the K1200 is the most stable oxygen sensor in the market
•    Sensor save costs
•    Offers power plant operators peace of mind when it comes to producing accurate results.
•    LDO technology eliminates membrane and electrolyte so the sensor accuracy is unaffected by process changes.
•    accurate measurement readings are essential to control low oxygen levels in nuclear and AVT power plants.
•    Maintenance intervention is limited to only 2 minutes a year with no chemicals required so the task is easier and safer without reducing measurement accuracy.
