KROHNE has launched a new dual version of its OPTISWIRL vortex flowmeter. The instrument provides full redundancy back-up in applications where certainty of measurement is critical. It can also provide dual measurement in pipelines where two different media flow concurrently.
The OPTISWIRL Dual has two separate converters. This gives the instrument two completely independent measuring systems, which provide fail-safe measurement capability and back-up. The converters can also be independently programmed to measure different media flowing through the same pipe.
KROHNEs OPTISWIRL has been designed to be robust and highly versatile. It is the only vortex flowmeter with integrated pressure and temperature measurement. It incorporates the companys ISP (intelligent signal processing) technology which eliminates unwanted signal noise to deliver precise, stable measurement.
The OPTISWIRL is designed to measure operating flow, volumetric flow and mass flow of conductive and non-conductive materials accurately. These can be liquids, gasses or vapours – and for some applications where material pressures and temperatures fluctuate.
KROHNEs new instrument is designed to provide high reliability and once installed does not require on-going maintenance. Its durable stainless steel case is resistant to pressure, temperature and corrosion making it suitable for use in harsh applications, such as those in the chemical or petrochemical and gas industries.
